Use as a base layer underneath Zoo Med's Eco Earth compressed coconut fiber substrate or other substrate to create an underground water table in naturalistic terrariums. Add water to Hydro Balls to create a natural "aquifier" and increases humidity levels for all tropical species! Provides an excellent substrate for live plant root growth in naturalistic terrariums. Add a water pump to the Hydro Balls layer to create a waterfall and generate water flow through the Hydro Balls for optimum filtration (see back for instruction).
